Observations of my 2012 New Zealand Trip.
In March 2012 I travelled with my wife Ingrid ,and our two horses to New Zealand, as part of the Australian Team competing in a Trans-Tasman Australian versus New Zealand Showjumping Challenge.
IRT, Singapore Airlines and Tamarin Park were fantastic in assisting us getting our horses transported to New Zealand and back. Our horses travelled in total comfort and arrived in mint condition. Prior to leaving ,we had been feeding our horses NRG products including Stockgain, NRG Garlic Apple cider vinegar , and Calcium which we know greatly help in their conditioning.
New Zealand is a country full of picturesque landscape, friendly people, fantastic “fush en chups”, wild and beautiful weather. While in the North Island we travelled as far as Wellington in the South, Hawera in the West, Napier in the East, and Auckland in the North.
The New Zealand people love their animals and have some very well bred and nice horses, which are super talented and competitive. The have equipment and shows that are fantastic to compete at, none better the showgrounds where they hold their final show for the season, the Horse of the Year Show (HOY).
New Zealand has plenty going for it in the world of Equestrian Sports, which equals or surpass those of own disciplines here in Australia. The professionalism, interest, nature, support, competitions and jump-offs at their HOY show are a perfect example.
New Zealand has so much going for it and its equestrian sports, however, during my entire trip, I noticed that they were missing out of one thing that Australia has that they do not. Any time they groomed, they put in “ hours and hours “ brushing and combing manes and tails to get them looking presentable........... when they could have halved the time if they had of used NRG Team’s products “No-nots and Proplaits”. The “poor” people....... I’ll try and convert them next time I am over there!
