NRG TEAM Australian Owned & Made

With a great love for horses, Boyce began Olympic Saddlery in the Yarra Valley in the late 1970’s. Customers were seeking practical equestrian supplements and grooming products. Boyce set about producing a small range of products that would appeal to his customers needs. This led to him establishing The NRG Team in the early 80’s.

Fast forward to today and this family owned business is proud to be Australian Owned. As a hands-on business, we support our local communities wherever possible. We employ local, buy local, hire local and invest local.

Being horse owners and riders, competing at many Equestrian Events throughout Victoria, you may often see Boyce and Jodie (our marketing and sponsorship colleague) throughout the coming season.

The NRG Team products are available throughout Australia from your local produce and rural stores, saddlery shops and selected on-line retailers.

NRG TEAM History

1980s

The NRG Team Was Born

With NRG Stockgain, NRG Calcium and NRG Stride Hoof Dressing all making their debut within 12 months. Olympic Saddlery Customers were supporting a need for these to be created.

1990s

Top Seller NRG NoNots

After each batch, Boyce would follow his daughter around with yet another formula, experimenting on her long curly hair, before he was happy with result. Inspired by young show rider, Vicki Lawrie, NRG Proplaits was revealed. Feeding naturally became the fashion & NRG Apple Cider Vinegar was introduced followed by NRG Garlic ACV 10 years later.

2010s

NRG Pro-Tect Developed

NRG Pro-tect was developed during a widespread outbreak of mud fever following the first wet winter after years of drought.

2014+

Summer & Shine

Every summer one of our NRG Horses, Jake suffers with a burnt nose. With only hard creams on the market, it was time to develop a soft cream. After many trials, NRG Pink Noze was created. Show rider, Chanele Hunter Cooke, encouraged Boyce to develop a coat shine that would not attract dust. With the advantage of essential oils, NRG GlossArena become a favourite in the show ring.
